HOW TO RESIST, FIGHT, SUPPRESS, FOOL, HARNESS AND OVERCOME THEM.

As is the case in any/all neurotic, obsessive, addictive oriented habit, the first step that must be taken is acknowledgement, admission, agreement that there IS a “problem”.

In the area of eating disorders, excess weight and obesity, the toughest truth to swallow is that there are two types of cravings and hunger pangs. The problem that they are extremely difficult to tell apart.

The true, “natural”, physical type of hunger and cravings feel very much like those which originate in the brain’s food, drink and pleasure centers.

The latter are neurotically driven, just as are erratic behavior patterns to which there is no logical, pragmatic, reasonable explanation, thus “make no sense” to the onlookers as well as the performers. Sex, drugs, rock-and-roll and now also food and drink.

Neurotic, emotional eating and drinking are associated with sub- and unconscious aberrant, irrational feelings such as insecurity, frustration, low self-confidence and esteem, various upsets, fears, worries, and other unsettling inner turmoil – none of which the nibbling, binging, “cheating” over-eater is conscious . And would deny emphatically, if challenged.

Conversely, “real”, “natural”, “true” inner dinner bells, triggered by the body and its needs for refueling, are instinctive. The signals sent to nudge us are easily recognized once we learn to “listen for that inner voice”. Which is why a sound regimen of Self-hypnotic training and daily practice can make the difference, as it shortens the curve.

Obviously, this is one of the many benefits offered by S.L.I.M. For Life © . For, once the precious sense of awareness is developed, endless areas of daily living blossom, open up and empower the recipient to participate and enjoy in numerous “insider” secrets that render life simpler, far more enjoyable and healthy. Wellness!

I’ll stop here for now and, ‘till next chat, I’ll write the true story of an old Mexican friend of mine I’ll call Pancho: a perfect illustration of the above “hunger pangs and cravings” which I believe you’ll appreciate and enjoy. Ciao, Jacques
